How early should I book my flowers for the big day?
You can secure your day with a deposit any time. Weekends at popular times of year tend to get booked up fast.
Once you have a clear idea of your colours it is worth a chat with Verdila to develop your wedding flower plan further.
Most brides are booking around 6 months to a year ahead but I have done wedding flowers with only a fortnight's notice!
Your wedding flower journey:
1. Initial wedding flower enquiry from the happy couple
2. Wedding flower planning meeting via a chat or remote meet
3. Deposit to secure your date
4..Final discussion to check your wedding flower plan around a month before the day.
Balance is due a month before your wedding.
Your wedding budget
It is not every day you get married so budgeting for wedding flowers can be something new and potentially a little scary yet exciting glimpsing into the world of cut flowers. Just relax as florists don't expect you to be a flower expert. That is our job to guide you!
Please ask for a quote as my flower guide prices are just that. Prices differ greatly up and down depending on your time of year, colours and style. If you have a budget it is always worth mentioning it as this can form the basis of our planning. If you have a dream for your day gather some photos of the sort of floral designs you like to act as a basis for discussion.
Remember that your wedding flowers are extra lovely and will be specially ordered, prepared and planned by Verdila. They will be unpacked and conditioned before use to ensure they are great on your big day.
Verdila can often suggest ways to make your flowers work harder both at the service and again for the reception.
Verdila offers items for hire that can help relieve some of the overall cost. Speak to us before buying lots for your tables.
PS:If you choose seasonal flowers, berries and foliage you may be pleasantly surprised at how far your budget can stretch.
PS: Spring flowers are great value.
PS: Peony season is mainly May/June with some availability of Dutch peony into July.
PS: Dahlias for August and September are wonderful.
